Tremont Mountain Stream 2 is a radiant studio acrylic repaint of one of Don Yaun’s most cherished compositions, created in 2024 as a personal keepsake after the original sold quickly to a couple in North Georgia. This 18″ × 24″ version intensifies the color saturation for even greater vibrancy while remaining faithful to the original scene: warm morning sunlight piercing through the dense tree canopy above, bathing a gentle mountain stream and its small cascading falls into a glowing pool below.

The painting draws from stunning reference photos generously shared by dear friend and admired photographer Travis Rhoads. Don was captivated by the way the sun filtered through the leaves, creating dappled golden highlights on the water and rocks. Though he typically works from his own images, this particular composition was too compelling to pass up. With permission from Travis, Don brought the Great Smokey Mountains National Park Stream to life, and he plans to explore more such intimate stream scenes in future works.
